LINE’s end-of-October 2026 deadline for electronic know-your-customer (E-KYC) identity verification on LINE Ads has now passed. LINE announced the requirement on its LINE for Business site on September 11, 2026; its notice said completing verification by that date lowers the risk of an active ad campaign being affected or paused, but it does not state what happens next to an advertiser who was notified and still hasn’t verified.
Four Advertiser Types, Four Document Sets
Per LINE’s own documentation, verification splits into four categories. A Thai individual verifies with a Thai national ID card through a mobile phone, using an OTP and a face scan. A Thai-registered company needs a company registration certificate no older than 90 days plus the ID of an authorized signatory or director, verified through a computer. An overseas individual verifies with a passport and needs a Thai guarantor who holds a valid Thai ID card. An overseas-registered company submits its own registration certificate and a director’s passport. Accounts run through a LINE Agency Partner should contact their LINE Sales Representative instead of self-verifying.
Where the Notice Actually Shows Up
LINE says the prompt appears inside LINE Ads Manager (admanager.line.biz): click the bell icon in the top-right corner and look for “[Important] Please verify your advertiser identity (E-KYC),” or search a registered email for the same subject line. Failing the ID or face-match step five times ends that E-KYC attempt, and LINE then directs advertisers to its Call Center for further help.
If You Haven’t Verified Yet
- Open LINE Ads Manager now and check both the notification bell and the inbox tied to your LINE Ads account — the deadline has passed, so don’t wait any longer.
- If you advertise as a company, pull a company registration certificate issued within the last 90 days and a director’s ID before starting, since LINE recommends completing this step on a computer, not a phone.
- If an agency manages your LINE Ads account, ask your LINE Sales Representative whether your account’s verification is still pending.
- Watch your campaign status in Ads Manager for a pause notice, since LINE ties continued ad delivery to completing the check.
