Google said on November 5, 2026, that its video tool, Google Vids, now runs on a new model called Gemini Omni 1.2 Flash. Starting that day, anyone with a personal Google account or a Google Workspace subscription can generate AI video inside Vids at no cost — no signup form, no trial period, no credit card.
What Omni 1.2 Flash Adds to Vids
Google’s own announcement highlights three things the new model does inside Vids: single-take product and social clips with no cuts, image-to-video generation where uploaded reference photos keep people and products looking consistent across the clip, and narration Google says “feels like something you recorded yourself” rather than a flat text-to-speech voice. Google’s line on it: “If you can describe it, you can make it.”
The Free Allowance, and Its Limit
The free access Google announced is capped: up to three 15-second AI videos a month, for any Google account or Workspace subscription, with no extra charge. Google names no expiry date or region exclusion on the offer itself. Its support page for Vids’ AI features separately says these features apply “in all countries and regions where Google Workspace accounts are available” — which covers Thailand. Anyone can start a clip immediately at vids.new; a signed-in Google account is the only requirement.
What a Thai Shop or Support Team Can Try This Week
- Open vids.new and generate one 15-second product or promo clip from a written description, then check how it looks before posting it to your LINE OA, Facebook Page or Instagram.
- If you already have product photos, try the image-to-video option so the clip keeps your product’s actual look instead of an AI-invented one.
- Three clips a month is the full free allowance — plan which three matter most (a new arrival, a promotion, a how-to) rather than testing them all on throwaway ideas.
