OpenAI began rolling out GPT-6 with a new Intelligent UI inside ChatGPT on October 7, 2026, letting the chatbot answer with charts, tappable buttons, forms and other interactive elements instead of plain text alone. Paid Plus, Pro, Business and Enterprise accounts got it first; free and Go users, who make up most of ChatGPT’s reported 1.2 billion weekly users, received it the following day, October 8.
How Intelligent UI Picks a Format
OpenAI says the model itself picks whether an answer works better as plain text, a chart, a table or a set of buttons, based on the question, and a plain-text reply stays available whenever that is clearest. Paid Chat tiers run the new reply logic on GPT-6 Sol; Free and Go accounts run the lighter GPT-6 Luna model instead.
What the Rollout Doesn’t Cover Yet
Legacy desktop apps for Windows and Mac do not render the new interface yet, so only the web and mobile apps show it so far. On ChatGPT Enterprise, a workspace administrator has to turn the feature on; it is not enabled by default. There is also no published full off-switch for Free or Go accounts: the only documented control is asking the model to cut back how many visuals it includes.
Before Your Team Pastes an Answer Elsewhere
If your business runs ChatGPT Business or Enterprise, check whether your workspace admin has actually switched this on, since the rollout there is opt-in, not automatic. If staff draft customer replies in the Free or Plus app before copying them into a LINE OA, Facebook inbox or email, ask ChatGPT for a plain-text version first, because buttons and charts do not survive a paste into a chat window — the kind of channel 1CS’s Unified Inbox already centralizes in one place. And if someone says ChatGPT looks the same as before, check whether they are still on an old desktop app instead of the web or mobile version.
