OpenAI began rolling out ChatGPT Slides on October 16, 2026, letting people build and edit full presentations inside a chat instead of switching to PowerPoint or Google Slides. The tool lives inside “Space,” ChatGPT’s shared team workspace, where colleagues can edit the same deck together. It’s reaching ChatGPT Pro, Business and Enterprise accounts first — Free and Plus users don’t get it yet.
How Slides Works Inside a Chat
Per OpenAI’s release notes, a deck can start from a conversation, uploaded files, a written outline, or an example deck used to guide style and layout. A user can then edit text, images, shapes and charts directly, or ask ChatGPT to revise them, and generate new images or upload their own. Invited teammates can edit the same deck in real time and leave shared comments, each from their own ChatGPT login.
Who Actually Gets It
Two things must be true at once: an eligible paid plan — Pro, Business or Enterprise — and “Space” switched on, the shared workspace that replaced ChatGPT’s older Library tool. OpenAI says Slides is “rolling out” to accounts with both, so even an eligible account may not see it yet. A finished deck can be presented straight from ChatGPT, or exported on the web to PowerPoint, PDF or Google Slides; the desktop app can hand it to a locally installed PowerPoint or Keynote instead.
What a Thai Team Can Do Now
- If your business already pays for ChatGPT Pro ($200/month), Business or Enterprise, check whether Space is switched on for your account — that’s the actual gate, not the plan alone.
- On Plus or Free, you can’t open Slides yet, but the separate “ChatGPT for PowerPoint” add-in works inside Microsoft PowerPoint on every plan, Free included.
- Treat a first AI-built deck as a draft regardless of plan: check every number, claim and chart before it goes in front of a client or investor.
